Typical Singaporean VS Kiasu Singaporean

I was on the way to work today, as usual i took the train and alight at Tanah Merah station. Its a Sunday and you can imagine how crowded the train is and each stop that the train make, passengers kept coming in and out. As i was getting ready to alight at my stop, the crowd was pushing their way in without giving a thought about the other passengers that is alighting. Its so frustrating having to push my way out too or better still get pushed by others. Iv to voice out, raising my voice..."Excuse me..! can u all please make some way for other people to alight first...!!!!" and stomp my way out.. How do we educate this kind of people, even posters and advertisements has been put up but still the message is not reached and understand to the 'non-speaking English'. This are just the Typical Singaporeans living today.

Since my daily routine at work is meeting people from all walk of life, I get to experience all kinds of characters and attitudes. In particular, aunties, uncles and the old folks of the Nongsapura, Batam trip crowded the turnstil before boarding their ferry even before the ferry arrive. In a way blocking other passengers to board.  Signs have been put up and verbally been informed but still we are being ignored, reason is they want to board first, get the good seat (Fong Shui) and alight first, good luck for their gambling game. We label them Kiasu Singaporeans.

Who do you vote for being the good examples of Singaporeans today? Both groups are just the typical Singaporeans living in our daily lives. Its the trademark of Singaporeans, bringing this characteristics everywhere and anywhere they go so be mindful about everything you do, have some thoughts for others.
